Voluntary Code of Conduct
Organisations that voluntarily choose to list on Prove.com.au, agree to the following ethical code of conduct. The code is not enforced and relies on the integrity and honesty of the organisations that list with us.
By agreeing to this
voluntary code, you may then link to this page and display the
Prove.com.au Voluntary Code of Conduct logo in acknowledgement of this
agreement. Our strong hope is that all organisations honour the code in
addition to other ethical and environmental standards.
By espousing the Prove.com.au Voluntary Code of Conduct, your organisation agrees to:
- Adhere to the highest level of ethical standards in all of your operations whereby your actions are based on legal foundations as well as societal norms/values and behavior endorsed by the communities in which you operate.
- Wherever possible, you are increasingly adopting environmentally sustainable practices and are openly encouraging a green-friendly approach.
- Subscribe to the ideals of good corporate citizenship, giving back to the communities in which you operate through financial, voluntary or in-kind support.
- Be an equal opportunity employer that looks after and cares about its employees wellbeing both physical and emotional, showing compassion and empathy to workers.
- Acknowledge that your organisation has a number of stakeholder interest groups who are affected by your actions including but not limited to employees, shareholders, customers, supplier, local communities, international groups, Mother Nature and society as a whole.
- Openly encourage the opinions and participation of staff to contribute ideas and opinions in the running of your organisation.
- Fairly and adequately reward the contributions of staff through social, financial and other methods, allowing all to share in the success of the organisation.
- Support charitable organisations and/or community groups, acknowledging the responsibility that you have in the community once you are in a financial position to do so.
- Have in place a policy statement that embodies legal and ethical principals.
- Acknowledge that work/life balance and family life is important.
